  • Itinerary:

  • 8 DAYS - ASWAN / LUXOR EVERY MONDAY

  • Monday 12:00 noon Embarkation in Aswan

  • You will be met on arrival at Aswan Airport or Train Station by our Holidays at Egypt  Representative then transferred around 12pm midday to embark on your wonderful FeddayaDahabeya Boat.

  • A delightful lunch onboard then sailing to Aswan Bridge (considered the Gateway to Aswan and the Nubian culture), a large and impressive structure especially at night.

  •  Overnight docking near the bridge.

  • Meals: lunch and dinner 

  • Tuesday - ASWAN TOURS

  • A nice leisurely morning with breakfast and lunch onboard watching the passing boats and scenery before heading off with your expert English speaking Tour Guide to Aswan High Dam.

  •  Built in the 1960’s, it provided much needed electricity and irrigation for Egypt.

  •  Nubia, the area that was flooded, experienced  the biggest and most thorough archaeological excavations that Egypt has known.

  •  Then we go to see the ‘Unfinished Obelisk’ which still lies in the granite quarries which provided ancient Egypt with building materials.

  •  Then a visit toPhilae Temple, one of the Nubian Temples rescued before the High Dam was built. Enjoy Philae’s long colonnades, towers and reliefs which include the last surviving hieroglyphic and demotic inscriptions in Egypt.

  •  Free evening at leisure to explore Aswan with it’scolourful Market with aromas of incense and spices.Overnight in Aswan.

  •     Wednesday - SAIL TO El SHAKH FADL ISLAND.

  • Relaxing breakfast and lunch onboard whilst sailing along the Nile watching local life unchanged for centuries, with different species of birds and tranquil settings of islands and palm trees along the green delta.

  •  Your personal and friendly crew are happy to answer all of your questions as you sail along and keep you entertained.

  •  Enjoy a delicious evening dinner onboard with an overnight stay at El ShakhFadl island.

  • Thursday - SAIL TO KOM OMBO

  • An early breakfast whilst sailing to KomOmbo arriving around 9.30am.

  •  Here, your expert Tour Guide will accompany you to visit KomOmbo Temple.

  •  Of all the ancient Temples in Egypt, this is the only one which is divided into two, to reflect that it is dedicated to two Gods: Sobek, the crocodile god of fertility and the falcon God Haroeris.

  •  KomOmbo is also famous for the depictions of surgeon's instruments, giving us an early record of medicine and surgery in Ancient Egypt.

  •  After the tour, you will sail on to Gabal El Silsila which was originally used a quarry site dating back to the 18th Dynasty to Greco-Roman times.

  •  On the West Bank are rock cut shrines for Horemheb, Seti I, Ramesses II and Merenptah along with a chapel dedicated by User, Vizier under Hatshepsut.

  •  Many talatats used by Akhenaten were quarried from here, and used for sites in Luxor and Amarna. Dinner onboard in the evening with an overnight stay at Gabal El Silsila.

  • Friday - EDFU TEMPLE AND EL KAB TEMPLE

  • Today after breakfast, you will arrive at Edfu with your Guide to explore the famous site of the huge Ptolemaic Temple of Horus which is the most complete and best preserved of the Egyptian Temples, consisting of many columns, halls, chambers and chapels.

  •  Two statues of Horus flank the twin towered entrance gate; and inside, one of the interesting inscriptions lists the titles of books (scrolls) held in the library.

  •  Back onboard for lunch then sailing to  El Kab. Here you will visit El Kab Temple on the east bank of the Nile at WadiHillal.

  •  It is a  prehistoric and Pharaonic settlement with rock-cut tombs dating from the  18th Dynasty (1550–1295 BC) and also the Ptolemaic period (332–30 BC) which was also  part of the walls of a Coptic monastery.

  • Dinner onboard whilst Sailing to El Hegaz Island (From the East to the West). Arrive El Hegaz island & Overnight.

  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner 

  • SAIL TO ESNA AND LUXOR

  • Today is a leisurely day to sail and take in the sights. First you will arrive at Esna, home to the famous Lock in Upper Egypt where all of the Cruise boats have to pass through.

  •  Sometimes it can take a while, however it is a great photo opportunity both of the Lock and the local boatmen madly rowing up to the Cruise boats with all of their goods to sell to the passing tourists.

  •  It can be very entertaining! After this, you will continue sailing on to Luxor with an overnight stay in Luxor.

  •  You may be in time to catch the optional tour of the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple or even take a tour around Luxor City to see the markets and local traditions. 

  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

  • LUXOR TOURS - EAST AND WEST BANK

  • After an early breakfast, your Tour Guide will escort you to visit West Bank of the Nile to explore the sites of Ancient Thebes, overall one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. Visit the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon) and the impressive colonnaded and terraced Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahri, which was built into a high cliff face and has graphics telling the story of Hatshepsut’s expeditions to the mysterious land of Punt.

  •  Then you go to the Valley of the Kings to see a selection of the beautifully decorated rock-cut tombs, many of which still display vibrant colour and breathtaking detail of deities and scenes from the Book of the Underworld.

  •  The most visited tombs have walkways and electric lighting, and the internal walls are protected by glass.(The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government as to preserve them from the large flow of visitors, therefore are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed as to which tombs prior to your visit).

  •  Back to your cruise for lunch at midday. 

  • In the afternoon, your Guide will accompany you to visit the East Bank of luxor to Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple .

  •  Karnak Temple, which is the world's largest ancient religious site. The hypostyle hall with its colossal granite columns is one of Egypt’s famous landmarks.

  •  There will be free time to explore the different parts of the huge complex built during the reigns of various Pharaohs, then moving to Luxor Temple which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals that was dedicated to the God Amon.

  •  Return to the boat with overnight Luxor.

  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

  • Disembark - Final Departure

  • In this day you will disembark your dahabeya boat and be transferred back to Luxor Airport or Train Station for your departure.

  • Monday - Embarkation in Luxor Overnight.

  • You will be met on arrival at Luxor Airport or Train Station by our Holidays at Egypt  Representative then transferred around 12pm midday to embark on your wonderful FeddayaDahabeya Boat.

  •  The rest of the day is at your leisure to either explore the City of Luxor and Market, or take an evening optional tour to the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple. Overnight in Luxor. 

  • Meals: lunch and dinner

  • Tuesday - Luxor West bank and East Bank Tours

  • After an early breakfast aboard your Dahabeya, you will be escorted by your expert English speaking Tour Guide to the West Bank of the Nile to explore the sites of Ancient Thebes, overall one of the most important archaeological sites in the world.

  •      Wednesday - Early Sail To Esna and El Hegaz island (07 hrs Sailing)

  • An early breakfast onboard whilst enjoying your first sail along the tranquil Nile to arrive at Esna, home to the famous Lock in Upper Egypt where you will see all the large Nile Cruiseslining up to enter and pass through the Lock.

  •  Following after the Lock, you will sail on to El Hegaz, a small peaceful Island where you will relax and dock overnight. 

  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

  •      Thursday - Sail to El Kab (From the West to the East)

  • After an early breakfast you will accompany your Guide to visit El Kab Temple on the east bank of the Nile at WadiHillal,  a prehistoric and Pharaonic settlement with rock-cut tombs dating from the  18th Dynasty (1550–1295 BC) and also the Ptolemaic period (332–30 BC) which was also  part of the walls of a Coptic monastery.

  •  After your tour you will continue on to sail to Edfu enjoying lunch onboard.   • Enjoy breakfast onboard before arriving to Aswan and moored nearby Aswan Bridge, considered the ‘Gateway to Nubia’.Lunch on board then a tour to include Aswan High Damand Philae Temple.  Aswan High Dam was built in the 1960’s to provide the much needed electricity and irrigation for Egypt.

  • Today is a free day to explore or relax. Highly recommended is the early tour to the Temples of Abu Simbel at Lake Nasser.

  •  These two temples of Ramses II and his beloved wife’s temple of Nefertari as the 2nd most visited sites outside of the Pyramids in Cairo. Optional tours are also available to the Nubian Villages and Lord Kitchener’s Island. Overnight Aswan.

  •      Monday - Disembarkation - Final Departure

  • Today you will disembark your dahabeya boat and be transferred back to Aswan Airport or train Station for your departure.
