Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Cairo ‘Welcome to
Egypt’
-
Welcome to Cairo.
On arrival, you will be met and
assisted at Cairo International
Airport by your Holidays at Egypt
representative manager, and
escorted to your Hotel in Cairo in
an air-conditioned deluxe vehicle.
On arrival at the Hotel, the
Representative will assist with a
smooth check-in and review your
Egypt Easter Break itinerary with
you to establish and confirm pick-up
times for each tour. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Pyramids and Cairo Tours -
Train to Aswan
-
Check out after enjoying breakfast
at your hotel in Cairo. Then you
will be accompanied by your expert
Egyptologist Tour Guide to Giza
Plateau to visit one of the seven
wonders of the ancient world, the Great
Pyramids of
Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus along
with the famousSphinx,
ageing between six-thousand and even
thirteen-thousand years old with
the Valley
temple facing
the great statue. Lunch at good
quality local restaurant, before
continuing the tour to enjoy the
world renowned Egyptian
Museum of Antiquities including
the Treasures room of the boy king
Tutankhamun. After visiting the
Museum you will be guided to Coptic
Cairo to visit the Hanging
Church and Ben
Ezra Synagogue.
A day combining fascinating history
and including shopping in lively Khan
El Khalili Bazaar,
dating back to 1382. Later, you will
be transferred to Giza Railway
Station to board the sleeper train
to Aswan. Dinner and breakfast will
be served on board. Overnight inside
your compartment.

Day 3: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours
-
Upon your arrival at Aswan Train
Station, you will be met and
assisted by a Representative, then
transferred to embark your Nile
River Cruise before Lunch. The
afternoon will then proceed with a
fascinating tour to the world famous
Aswan High
Dam,
built in the 1960’s to provide the
much needed electricity and
irrigation for the country. Nubia,
the area that was flooded,
experienced the biggest and most
thorough archaeological excavations
that Egypt has ever known. Then a
visit to see the ‘Unfinished
Obelisk’
which still lies in the granite
quarries which provided ancient
Egypt with building materials. It
would have been the largest piece of
stone ever handled but when a crack
was discovered it was abandoned
where it was being hewn. Cross by
boat to Angilika Island, to see Philae
Temple which
is one of the Nubian Temples rescued
before the High Dam was built. Enjoy
Philae’s long colonnades, towers and
reliefs which include the last
surviving hieroglyphic and demotic
inscriptions in Egypt. Dinner with
overnight stay in Aswan with
time to explore the city
independently or with an optional
tour and Guide.

Day 4: KomOmbo and Edfu Temples
-
Breakfast on board the Nile Cruise
while Sailing to KomOmbo where
you will Visit the Temple shared by
two gods Sobek ( the God of
fertility) and Haeroris in KomOmbo,
the only Temple in Egypt shared by
two Gods. Then back to the Nile
Cruise to continue Sailing to Edfu,
lunch on board, after that visit the
best-preserved cult temple in
Egypt, Horus
Temple in Edfu (the
Falcon headed God). Enjoy afternoon
tea during sailing to Esna. Dinner
and overnight on board.

Day 5: Luxor Nile Cruise Excursions
-
Sail to Luxor while enjoying
breakfast on board the Nile Cruise,
then a Visit the West Bank ofLuxor with
your Tour Guide to explore the royal
cemeteries of 62 Pharaohs, Valley
of the Kings.
(The three tombs visited are
determined by the Egyptian
Government as to preserve them from
the large flow of visitors,
therefore are rotated throughout the
year and cannot be confirmed as to
which tombs prior to your visit).
Then to the mortuary Temple
of Queen Hatshepsut,
the only female Pharaoh in Egypt
which was built by the architects of
the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut
in the 15th century BC at El-Deir
El-Bahari. The Colossi
of Memnon is
a spectacular twin statues which was
the old entrance to the Valley of
the Kings. Lunch on board. Enjoy
afternoon tea and dinner on board
Overnight in Luxor.

Day 6: Luxor Nile Cruise Tours -
Train to Cairo
-
Disembarkation after enjoying your
breakfast aboard the Nile Cruise,
and then you will be accompanied by
your Guide to visit Karnak and Luxor Temples
at the East bank of the River Nile
(once joined by the Avenue of Sphinx
which has been reconstructed).
-
Karnak Temple was the largest place
of worship ever built and who’s
ancient name Ipet-isut means ‘The
Most Sacred of Places’.
-
The
Temple or more correctly, the
complex of Temples, was built over
more than two thousand years ago by
generation after generation of
Pharaohs. Within the complex, the
great ‘Hypostyle Hall’ is an
incredible forest of giant pillars.
-
Next
on to nearby Luxor Temple (the two
Temples were once linked by the
‘Avenue of Sphinx’ which is
currently being reconstructed).Then
continue the tour to visit the
majestic Luxor Temple which was
built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II
for ritual and festivals and
dedicated to the God Amun. After
your tour you will be transferred to
Luxor Railway Station to board the
sleeper train back to Cairo. Dinner
and breakfast overnight on board
sleeper train in your private
compartment ( twin beds).

Day 7: Cairo Optional Excursions

Enjoy breakfast aboard sleeper train
before arriving at Giza Train
Station, where you will be met and
assisted by a Holidays at Egypt
Representative who will transfer
you to your Hotel for free leisure
time and check into your room as
early as possible.
