Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Cairo ‘Welcome to
Egypt’
-
You will be met at Cairo
International Airport by a Holidays
at Egypt Representative, who will
accompany you to your Hotel in Cairo for
check-in and a free welcome drink.
There you will be introduced to your
Tour Leader for the trip, who will
explain what to expect on your EgyptNew
Year Vacation. Your Tour Leader will
be your point of contact throughout
the whole trip, and will give you
details of how to contact him at any
time whilst in Egypt under the care
of Holidays at Egypt. Throughout
your Egypt New Year touring holiday,
in addition to the Tour Leader you
will meet a variety of
English-speaking Tour Guides, who
have been chosen for their expertise
on each of the areas you are
visiting. After check-in you are
free to spend the rest of the
day/evening at your leisure.

Welcome Drink

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and Sakkara
-
After breakfast at your Hotel in
Cairo you will visit Sakkara, the
first Pyramid ever built in Egypt
followed by the Step Pyramid of King
Djoser and the Teti Pyramid. After
Sakkara, you will travel to Memphis,
the ancient capital of Egypt, to
visit the Colossal statue of Ramses
II. Then on to explore the Giza
Plateau to see the Great Pyramids of
Giza, Great Pyramid of Cheops,
Middle pyramids of Chephren and the
smallest Pyramid of Mykerinos.
Included will be a visit to the
mysterious Sphinx and the Valley
Temple with an optional visit to the
Solar Boat Museum to admire the boat
that was used to carry the Pharaoh’s
mummified corpse across the Nile
then buried at the foot of the
Pyramid for his use in the
afterlife.Transfer back to your
hotel for a peaceful overnight stay
in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo Sightseeing Tours
-
Breakfast at the hotel then a visit
the Museum of Egyptian Antiques
which exhibits a collection of over
120000 masterpieces ranges from
Pre-Dynastic era, Pharaonic era to
the Greco-Roman period in Egypt
including the treasures of the child
King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and
Goddess. Following this,a visit to
the Citadel of Saladin Mohamed Ali
Alabaster Mosque built in Turkish
style and very similar to the Blue
Mosque in Turkey, simply considered
to be one of the landmarks of Cairo
due to it’s high location and
spectacular views. Then proceed to
visit Old Coptic Cairo including the
hanging Church,then finally
transferred to Khan El Khalili
Bazaar for shopping then and then
back to your Hotel and overnight in
Cairo.

Day 4: Fly Cairo to Aswan - Nile
Cruise Tour
-
Breakfast then transfer to Cairo
Airport to board your flight to
Aswan where you will be met and
assisted by a Representative who
will transfer you to embark on your
Nile Cruise for the next 4 days / 3
nights. Later the same day, you will
be taken on an exciting tour to the
world famous Aswan High Dam which
was an engineering miracle when it
was built in the 1960s and contains
18 times the material used in the
Great Pyramid of Cheops. Continue to
the Granite Quarries which supplied
the ancient Egyptians with most of
the hard stone used in Pyramids and
Temples where the Quarries still
hold the famous Unfinished Obelisk.
Then you will be taken by motor-boat
to the Island of Egilkia to visit
the majestic Philae Temple that was
dedicated to the Goddesses Isis.

An optional evening excursion is
offered known as the ‘Sound and
Light Show’ at the Temple of Philae.
Return to the Nile Cruise ship in
Aswan for free time at leisure and
overnight on board your Nile Cruise
in Aswan.

Day 5: KomOmbo and Edfu Temples
-
Sail to KomOmbo. After breakfast
then accompanied by your English
speaking Guide to visit KomOmbo
Temple, the crocodile-headed God of
fertility and creator of the world.
Lunch aboard your Nile cruise with
free leisure time whilst sailing to
Edfu to explore Edfu's Temple of
Horus, one of the best-preserved
Ancient Egyptian Temples on the
Nile. Continue the cruise down the
Nile to Luxor. Afternoon tea is
served on the sundeck with dinner
and overnight stay onboard the Nile
cruise.

Day 6: Luxor Nile Cruise Tours
-
Breakfast onboard the Cruise then
you will be taken to the West Bank
of the River Nile to visit the two
colossal statues of Amenhotep III
(Colossi of Memnon), and then visit
the Valley of the Kings, where many
magnificent tombs were discovered
(including the Boy King
Tutankhamen), These tombs were
carved deep into the desert rock,
richly decorated and filled with
treasures for the afterlife of the
Pharaohs and here you will visit 3
tombs. (The three tombs visited are
determined by the Egyptian
Government as to preserve them from
the large flow of visitors,
therefore are rotated throughout the
year and cannot be confirmed as to
which tombs prior to your visit ).
Continue your tour to visit
Hatshepsut’s Temple at El Deir El
Bahary, this impressive Temple is
dedicated to the Queen Hatshepsut
the only female Pharaoh rises out of
the desert plain in a series of
terraces and merges with the sheer
limestone cliffs that surround it.
Back to the Nile cruise for lunch
and after afternoon tea on the ship
with free leisure time and overnight
stay in Luxor.

Day 7: Luxor Nile Cruise - Fly Back
to Cairo

Today and after breakfast you will
be accompanied by Egyptologist guide
to visit Karnak Temple, the largest
place of worship ever built. Its
ancient name Ipet-isut means ‘The
most sacred of places’. The Temple,
or, more precisely the complex of
Temples, was built over more than
two thousand years by generation
after generation of Pharaohs. Within
the complex, the great ‘Hypostyle
Hall’ is an incredible corridor of
giant pillars .Then you will be
transferred to the majestic Luxor
Temple which built by Amenhotep III
and Ramses II for ritual and
festivals and dedicated to the God
Amun, and then transferred to Luxor
airport to fly to Cairo, where you
will be met and assisted and
transferred to your hotel in Cairo
for check into the hotel with free
leisure time and overnight stay.
